Achieving Goals and What We Become

Writer's picture: The Heightened PerspectiveThe Heightened Perspective

Achieving our goals can be incredibly satisfying.

The sense of accomplishment, pride, and self-confidence that comes with reaching a goal is undeniable. But, what is often overlooked is the fact that what we get by achieving our goals is not as important as what we become.

When we set goals, we often focus on the end result and what we will gain from achieving them. We think about the promotion, the new car, the bigger house, or the financial security. What we often forget is that the process of achieving a goal is just as important as the end result.

The process of achieving a goal is what helps us to grow and develop as individuals. It's what helps us to build character, resilience, and determination. It's what helps us to learn new skills, to overcome obstacles, and to push past our comfort zones. It's what helps us to become the best version of ourselves.

When we achieve our goals, we become more confident, more resilient, and more self-assured. We become more capable, more adaptable and more independent. We become more of who we are.

What we get by achieving our goals is not as important as what we become.

The process of achieving a goal is what helps us to grow and develop as individuals. It's what helps us to become the best version of ourselves.

Focus on the process and not just the end result, and enjoy the journey of becoming the best version of ourselves.
